Volkswagen (VW) ID. Buzz cargo "DHL"
After the Volvo articulated lorry from NEWS I, another fully electric vehicle from the DHL fleet now appears in our program. The VW ID. Buzz is lavishly printed in several colors. The green leaf adorns vehicles with greatly reduced or zero CO² emissions. DHL was founded in 1969, just a few months after Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. DHL is based on the initials of the last names of the "founding fathers" Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom and Robert Lynn. Initially, cargo documents were personally transported by air from San Fransisco to Honolulu in order to begin customs clearance of ship cargoes at sea before their actual arrival, thus significantly reducing waiting time at the port. It was not until ten years later that the service was expanded to include parcel delivery.
