Volkswagen continued to develop the Beetle series. The 1303, also known as the Super Beetle, replaced the 1302 in 1972. The version with indicators on the mudguards and the familiar "elephant foot" tail lights was chosen for implementation in the model. Following on silver, the model will be produced in moss green.
