LOT Polish Airlines Tupolev TU-154M
With a maximum speed of 960 km/h, the Soviet-designed TU-154 was for a time the fastest subsonic commercial airliner in service worldwide. The modernized TU-154M variant, introduced in 1982, among others following requests from LOT, sported new engines with significantly reduced fuel consumption. A total of 14 of the iconic trijets were in service with the Polish carrier from 1985 to 1993. SP-LCA was delivered to LOT in 1986 and was sold to Turan Air of Azerbaijan in 1999 where she remained in service until the airline shut down in 2013.
